Finding the perfect Niche!

Every affiliate at some point asks themselves, "What niche do I want to be in?" There are several things that you have to consider. First, my highest recommendation is to choose a niche that you are HIGHLY interested in, because the more it interests you the more likely you will succeed. The more interest in the niche results in higher motivation, interest, and effort; thus, giving you a better chance to succeed.

Now, when you start looking for products that fall into your niche you will need to keep a couple of things in mind. You want to find a product with a high EPC (Earning per 100 clicks), this tells you that the product is profitable. You have to be careful though, if the 7 day EPC is drastically lower than the 30 day EPC then that means the products profitability is fading. If the difference is high enough you should steer away from that product.

Next, you want to check the competition by searching the obvious keywords you would use for this product. Check how many items show up on the searches for each keyword, if the number is outrageous, then the product has a lot of competition. If the competition is low, then you are good to go. Also, you will want to check the PPC (price per click) for the keywords you want to use. You can find this out by inputing the keywords with Google Adwords, Yahoo Searchmarketing, Msn Adcenter, Facebook, and various others. If the PPC is extremely high then there is a lot of competition. If not, once again you're good to go.

Finally, you will always want to look into the future, because the most profitable niches are the ones that have not came yet. If you happen to get your nose in one, you are instantly rich, no questions asked. Therefore, you want to constantly be thinking of future niches, upcoming technology, new products, ect.
